Local speedway young gun, Daniel Drewett took the honours for the 2nd round of the south Australian MJS Street Stock series held in Remarks Riverland Speedway on Jan 7th. Drewett qualified out of 2nd position for the feature event after a consistent run in the heat races, placing 2nd in both of them. Drewett was happy with the car speed and handling after the heat races and was looking forward to the 20 lap main event. |

The Fire Service Plus Sprintcar All Star Series put on a show for the Mildura crowd for their Round 5 at The Edge Hotels Timmis Speedway. Enduring 43deg temperatures and hotter in the pits 22 cars managed to put on a show. Engines were feeling the heat after the second round of heats but fortunately with the night air cooling slightly gave them time to cool slightly.“We had an offer to hold a pool party instead by the V99 Farrer team but decided not to – I can just imagine drivers trying to lap each other in the pool to take out the A Main 30 free style event – it wouldn’t be a pretty site!” Searle tells us. “and hey – at least it’s not raining!” |

The Fire Service Plus Sprintcar All Star Series brought to you by Inland Crane Hire, look forward to returning to what they have affectionately dubbed – “Party Central” at the Edge Hotels Timmis Speedway, Mildura on Monday – Jan 2. “Mildura is one of our favourite town’s to visit, we are always made to feel welcome and all the teams enjoy visiting the town.” Series Promoter Searle says. With 4 successful rounds down and four different A Main winners the points battle is starting to develop and Round 5 will make it even tighter. |
