Drivers’ Kids Club Launch - Mildura

the 19th of October saw the official Launch of the Timmis
Speedway Kids Club. Founders
Kristin Tyson and Paul Jenkins have been working together on this project
since July, and now have over one hundred of our youngest Club Members,
these Kid’s all now have a place in our speedway fraternity, and to
date our youngest Member is Cameron Smith who is all but one week old,
taking the position from Shakiera who is 4 weeks old. This goes to show
you are never too young to get involved in speedway! “Kids
Club” is a way of introducing young children to a sport which to most
is out of reach. Kids activities each and every Speedway Meeting, a
chance to meet their favorite drivers, and a monthly news letter are just
some of the things that the “Kids Club” has to offer. Driver
Involvement is very important, and in saying so, If you’re a Member of
M.S.D.C, in a driving capacity, don’t be surprised if you get bailed up
by either Kristin or Paul, to help out at some stage. So
far feedback has been extremely positive, from both Children and Parents
alike, and it looks like the Kids Club has a bright future ahead of its
self, and hopefully soon we will have our first bunch of kids exiting
Kids Club, and taking up a driving role in M.S.D.C. Kids
Club Membership is free to any child aged up to 16 years of age, so a
sponsor for this project is of the utmost importance, any business
wishing to get behind this concept can contact either Kristin or Paul.
